I finally had my CT Scan yesterday. The appointment went very smoothly, unlike the colposcopy appointment where I was pretty much ignored by both the admitting people and also when I got to the unit. At the CT admitting desk, I was served right away. I got there about an hour early, as they recommend you show up 45 mins before your appointment. She sent me to the waiting area after I was registered, and I sat there for about 5 minutes before being brought in. The doctor was so friendly and had amazing bedside manner. They give you an IV to inject the dye before the scan. I hardly felt anything. I was in and out of there within about 20 minutes, and had expected to be there for 1 1/2 hours.
Unfortunately, they don't give you any information about the results. He said that BC Cancer Agency would get the information by the afternoon, but it would be up to the doctor to call me for follow up. I'm assuming it would be the requesting gynecologist, and not my family doctor, but he didn't know for sure which doctor would contact me. He said it would be very quick, and that usually patients have the BC Cancer Agency appointment within 10 days. I guess more waiting is in order.
I've noticed that I have a lot of people reading my blog that are not friends and family. For those people, I am trying to provide some information based on research that I've found. If I can make the journey easier for someone else, then that's an added bonus. There are some doctors who have been researching the effects of CBD and THC on various diseases. This video explains a lot about dosages for different age groups broken down by condition. For anyone taking CBD oil, there are inconsistent recommendations and it can get pretty confusing. Because it's not yet regulated, and studies have been limited, it's hard to figure out what dosage might work. This video by Dr. Mara Gordon is worth a watch if you're interested in learning more about how much to take. She has a few different videos on youtube:

I've been having very good days for almost a week know. My energy levels are high, and I'm feeling pretty positive. That is likely a combination of my diet and maybe the CBD oil which has been known to give a burst of energy. Now if only I could find out the results of the scan and get this treatment started.
Finally, I made a large batch of the cabbage soup that I posted in my last blog. Here's a photo ... it is/ was delicious!
